Why are we named Happy Hour?
That is the most asked question at our studio. Most people assume with a wink that it is a reference to cocktails and good times. And in a way, that is where it started. We envisioned a swanky Mad Men type of agency. Also, we love the modern aesthetic of the 50's and 60's. But please keep in mind that our shop started more than a decade before Mad Men appeared. The name gave our firm an anchor in the welcome perception of good times. Mostly though we chose the name for the word HAPPY. That is how we want to live and what we want to spread.
After working in several agencies and publications we realized that none of the clients ever enjoyed their interaction with the agency. They were always defensive about money, having their ideas shot down and having indiscernible design speak blurted at them. But we enjoy our work, we love our simple life and we appreciate that nobody understands our client's product or service like they do. So we treat clients like family. We all have a good time, get work done and make some money along the way. And Happy Hour also refers to a fun time when friends get together and get a good deal on something that usually costs a lot more. What's not to love?
