In Kenny's words: "As a long time amateur comedian and all around knucklehead I have often been called on to pick up the energy at social events that are getting a little glum. In my youth it was easy to take my pants off and leave my shirt on and do the 'Barney Rubble' dance. Or pour every single person a shot of tequila. Both are sure fire ways to pick up a party."

"Now that I am old and lame, my wife prefers me to keep my pants on in public. Plus I don't drink at all, so forcing cheap tequila on people is a little hypocritical. Somewhere along the way we figured out that really crappy wigs made everyone laugh. As soon as they touch your head you will be laughing. And so will everyone in the room. Slowly over the years we have added to the collection and they still come out for holidays and special occasions."

Here are a select few images from wig-break-out sessions over the years. Enjoy.

BACK STORY
If you are a true fan of the Simpsons, then you know Knoxville as the home of the Wigsphere—formerly the Sunsphere from the World's Fair. In this particularly hysterical episode, the structure now serves as the warehouse for a wig sales company. At one point Bart and his cronies are sitting on the curb. They are completely broke and without options. But they are all wearing a wig—a visual that still breaks us up after seeing it 10 times.

On a cross country trip we found ourselves in Knoxville. And for some reason we had one of our awful wigs. It seemed like a good photo-op. So we snapped a few images at the Wigsphere. An inside joke at best, but we loved the fact that we had sort of landed in the mecca of our knucklehead wig-based shenanigans, which only encouraged us. So we pushed west capturing the wigs on friends, family and strangers everywhere. We are still going strong today!
